License agreement
This agreement is between you and Pizza Bagel Music LLC, doing business as Pizza Bagel Plugins (“we”). It covers every plugin we sell or give away, including trials and free versions. Installing, activating or using the software means you accept it. The short version: you get a perpetual license for up to three of your own computers, it is not a sale of the code, and refunds follow Moonbase’s policy.
1. What you get
A personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to install and use the software on up to three (3) computers that you own or control, for your own music production. The software is licensed, not sold. We keep ownership of the code, the design, the artwork and the name.
2. Activations
A license can be active on three computers at once. Activation happens by signing in to your Pizza Bagel account inside the plugin. You can deactivate a computer from your account at any time to free up a slot. If you hit the limit and can’t deactivate an old machine (lost, dead, wiped), contact us and we will reset it.
3. Who can use it
One license, one person. You may not share your account, lend the license, or let anyone else use your activations. A studio or company that wants several people using the software needs one license per user.
4. What you may not do
Copy, rent, lease, sublicense, sell or redistribute the software. Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except where the law says you may. Bypass, remove or interfere with the licensing and activation system. Use the name, artwork or interface of the software to imply endorsement of anything without our written consent.
5. Your music is yours
Anything you make with the software is yours, with no royalty, credit or restriction. Commercial use is fine.
6. Trials and free versions
Trial licenses are for evaluation, run for 28 days, and are governed by this agreement. Free versions carry the same terms as paid ones, minus payment. We may end a trial early or stop offering a free version at any time.
7. Updates
Updates for a plugin you own are free for as long as that plugin exists. Updates may add, change or remove features. We may end support for older operating systems, hosts or plugin formats over time. Nothing here obliges us to make any particular update.
8. Purchases and refunds
Checkout, payment, tax and license delivery are handled by Moonbase (moonbase.sh), which is the merchant of record for every sale. Refunds and cancellations follow Moonbase’s general terms and conditions for buyers. Moonbase’s terms cover the transaction; this agreement covers your use of the software.
9. Ending the license
You can end this agreement at any time by uninstalling the software and deactivating your computers. We may end it if you break these terms, in which case you must stop using the software and remove it. Sections 4, 5, 10 and 11 survive termination.
10. No warranty
The software is provided “as is”. We do not promise it will meet your needs, run on every system, or be free of bugs. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. If something is broken, tell us and we will try to fix it.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pizza Bagel Music LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost sessions, lost data, lost profits or lost bookings, arising from the software. Our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you paid for the software. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so some may not apply to you.
12. Privacy
Activation sends a machine identifier to Moonbase so we can count your activations. What we collect and why is described in our Privacy policy.
13. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
14. Changes
If we change this agreement in a way that matters, we will post the new version here with a new date and, for significant changes, email account holders. Continuing to use the software after a change means you accept it.
