Hi, I’m Justin Gammella, a Platinum and Gold RIAA-certified producer, songwriter and vocal producer in Los Angeles. My work is all over the map: pop, indie, dance, electronic, K-pop and J-pop. Songs I’ve worked on have passed 1.5 billion streams, from Bella Poarch’s “Build a Bitch” and Benson Boone’s “Let Me Go” to vocal producing FINNEAS’ album Optimist. Along the way I’ve made records with Lennon Stella, Ashe, Rosie Darling, Salem Ilese, Steve Aoki, Kaskade, Lauren Jauregui, Madison Bailey, Lizzy McAlpine, Tiny Habits, fromis_9, XY, Xin Liu, Shallou, Blake Rose, Carlie Hanson, Deorro, DVBBS, Felix Cartal, Vicetone, Jake Scott and many more. Vocals are where I live: engineering, tuning, comping, harmonies, ad-libs, all of it.

Pizza Bagel Plugins started as ideas I’ve carried around for years. I wanted to build them for myself, to make my sessions faster and easier. Every plugin comes from the real gear and workflows I use on those records. Open one of my Pro Tools sessions and you’ll see a whole lineup of plugins and hardware sitting there switched off. I flip them in and out until I hear what the vocal needs, quickly and efficiently. JJG Vocals is that toolbox in one window, just a lot faster. The plugins came out so well that I sent them to my producer and mixer friends, and they freaked out. So I kept refining them, and here we are.

Outside of music and my family, my biggest love is cooking and food, so I brought that into the plugins too. Every one except JJG Vocals is named and themed around food.

Food shaped the designs too, along with my tattoos, which are all sketch-based and hand-drawn, and sketchbook art, anime, manga and comics (I’m a nerd). I have young kids, and I try not to take myself too seriously. The designs are silly. The sounds are serious.

Before all this, I was a founding member of the band Royal Tongues, where I wrote, produced, mixed and toured. These days I write and produce every day with artists and fellow songwriters and producers, including songs for pitch. I host Producer Points, a podcast spotlighting today’s top producers, mixers and creatives. And I fight for songwriters’ rights as an active member of SONA (Songwriters of North America), where I’m proud to serve on the advisory boards.
